Thought worth remembering

"Lots of folks confuse bad management with destiny."

- Ken Hubbard

Why project management?

Aldridge, Kerr & Associates, Inc. provides project management solutions to its clients. We believe project management is critical to the success of any project.

Here's the top 10 list of why project management is so critical:

  1. To provide structure and discipline to a project or initiative.

  2. To ensure a project is completed on time, within budget, and within "scope."

  3. To define accountability and responsibility for all participants of a project.

  4. To define the tasks necessary to complete the project.

  5. To identify obstacles that can hinder a project's success.

  6. To manage "scope creep," which are actions and/or tasks that occur outside the overall objectives of a project and cause a project to slow down, get off course, or not get completed.

  7. To monitor the progress throughout the life of the project—and keep the project focused on its objectives in order to ensure the project's success.

  8. To identify and resolve problems before the project cannot be salvaged.

  9. To provide a formal mechanism to communicate the project's progress throughout its life cycle.

  10. To facilitate a review of the project once it is completed, in order to promote continual improvement for future projects.

Aldridge, Kerr is available to provide project management support for any of your organization's projects. Contact Charlene Aldridge at 972.447.9787 or CharleneAldridge@aldridgekerr.com to discuss how we can assist you!
